I also, with the help of my mom, made a budget. This is the most detailed budget I've ever made, and frankly, I'm hoping that the Euro will take a serious dive--just for a few days--so I can exchange all my money at a better rate. The last time I went to Europe the Dollar and the Euro had about the same value. Now, the one Euro is worth about $1.48.
This is 8,50 euros, which is worth approximately one first born child.
Anyways, despite the exchange rate (and the mild flu I seem to be experiencing), I'm very excited to leave for my trip.

Hey, this is fun. :) Although the money post is sad. But I had the same fears as you right before I left. Luckily, IES had some jobs for students available working in the library, so I did that and got between 30 and 60 Euros a week, depending on how often I worked. Your program may have something similar; I would ask someone in charge as soon as you get there, before anyone else asks. :) I've heard that most study abroad programs have stuff like this in case there are students whose daddys aren't the president of 3M, or something.
Anyway, I went on a long tangent, sorry.
That's cool you are showing this fun journaly thing to your friends. I didn't really even think of doing that; I only really told relatives about mine last year. But if you ever want ideas of stuff to do, or just want to look at random Vienna pictures for the fun of it, my travel blog is:

I can't believe you are leaving so soon! Hopefully we will see each other for a little while tomorrow.
Bis bald,

That's a good point. I think I'll see if they have any positions, since I'm guessing Central and IES have similar administrative needs. I won't be doing an internship, so maybe I'll have more time to do that kind of stuff, if it's available.
I'll see you tomorrow!
Hi,
I figured out how to work this. Pretty good for grandma!
Glad to hear that you arrived safely.
Weather here in Florida is sunny and warm with a high of 84 today.
More next time.
Love, Grandma
Talked to Jeff this morning and they are expecting more below zero weather with lots of wind. Duluth will be worse than St. Paul. Here in Florida we seem far removed from it all.
Grandpa and I washed the huge glass lanai doors yesterday. We did the living room section and will do the bedroom ones tomorrow.
Weather continues to be in the 80 degree range with sunshine.
I really enjoy your blog.
Hope I can get this one to go out.
Love, Grandma
