More Schwäbisch Hall Pictures

Schwaebisch Hall on a cloudy day, which, from what I've heard is the typical weather situation in this part of Europe in February...

Enten lieben Schwäbisch Hall.

Apparently, the people of this town bury their frogs. (Froschgraben literally means "frog graves." I'm probably missing something here.)

This is a cool piece in front of a government office. I think it shows how the artist (and the people willing to put it here) feel about government and burreaucracy... It's a bunch of people trzing to get a cow and a goat up the stairs.

I really want to post all of my photos, but each one takes about two minutes to load, and it's about seven minutes to load five at once, so this will be a very gradual process. I'm not supposed to use the Mediotheke for personal e-mails, but it's the only place I can get internet AND use a USB drive for free...and I like to think of my blogging as an educational activity. :) I don't know how the Mediothekemeisterin feels about that....

Anyways, I'm going to head home. Hope everthing is well (if not at least interesting with the elections) in America.

HiSuzanne,
Grandpa and I came to the library. He looked at your blog and now is reading a book while I use the computer.
The weather continues to be very nice.
We have been following the election returns. It certainly is an interesting year with a variety of candidates. Today is the primary for 3 states--(well, one is DC, so that is not a state.)
Your pictures are so interesting. What an experience to study in a foreign country. After 5 months there, you will be speaking German like a native!
Next stop is the grocery store!
Love, Grandma

Oooh, yay for the new posts. The pictures make me want to study abroad again right now!
"Froschgraben"? Let me know if you ever find out what exactly that is supposed to mean... otherwise, it is fun to just imagine people raising their pet frogs and paying homage to them on their last day.
Yep. That's about it. Continue to explore and buy onions from quaint vendors.

Hi from Grandma,
Here I am at the library again.
It is great to see the photos and hear about what you are doing.
I am sure Jeff is interested in the frog item.
When he was young, he often brought frogs home!
Love, Grandma

Hi, Suzanne - your pictures are awesome! I really liked the statutes and the frog graves! I've been letting our friends and coworkers know about your blog. It's time for a 3 day weekend here (President's Day)and we are hoping to have some warm up from the 30 below wind-chill we had today.
Do you have plans to go to Sigmaringen before the end of the month?
Take care of yourself, Love, Mom
